In tropical, marine-influenced environments like Bali, the risk of reinforcement corrosion due to chloride penetration and humidity is significantly elevated. This paper explores advanced formwork detailing and material selection strategies designed to enhance the long-term durability of RC columns. We analyze the efficacy of moisture-barrier formwork coatings, rigid bracing systems, and precision cover-block placement in preventing structural degradation. By adhering to SNI 2847:2019 and ACI performance standards, we establish a protocol for high-durability column execution. Abstrak (Bahasa Indonesia) Durabilitas kolom beton bertulang (RC) sangat terkait dengan kualitas proses konstruksi, dimulai dari sistem bekisting. Di lingkungan tropis yang dipengaruhi lingkungan laut seperti Bali, risiko korosi tulangan akibat penetrasi klorida dan kelembapan meningkat secara signifikan. Makalah ini mengeksplorasi strategi detail bekisting dan pemilihan material yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan durabilitas jangka panjang kolom RC. Kami menganalisis efikasi pelapis bekisting penghalang kelembapan, sistem penyangga yang kaku, dan penempatan cover block yang presisi dalam mencegah degradasi struktural. Dengan berpedoman pada SNI 2847:2019 dan standar kinerja ACI, kami menetapkan protokol untuk pelaksanaan kolom dengan durabilitas tinggi. 1. Introduction Durability in concrete is defined not only by the concrete mix but by the environment created during the curing phase. Improperly executed formwork leads to voids, uneven surfaces, and insufficient concrete cover, all of which accelerate the ingress of harmful agents that cause reinforcement corrosion. 2. Analytical Formulation and Durability Parameters To ensure structural durability, the thickness of the concrete cover $d_c$ must be calculated to prevent carbonation and chloride-induced corrosion. The time to initiation of corrosion $t_i$ is expressed by the diffusion model: $$t_i = \left( \frac{d_c}{2 \cdot k \cdot \sqrt{D_a}} \right)^2$$ Where: $d_c$ = Concrete cover thickness ($mm$) $D_a$ = Apparent diffusion coefficient ($mm^2/year$) $k$ = Geometric factor related to the column geometry Maximizing $d_c$ through formwork precision is the most cost-effective method for long-term structural protection. 3.
