This study presents a comprehensive evaluation of interior painting works based on Indonesian National Standards (SNI), focusing on material performance, surface preparation, application techniques, and quality control. The research integrates laboratory testing and field observations to identify key parameters influencing coating adhesion, durability, and uniformity. The findings indicate that adherence to SNI standards, combined with proper environmental control and skilled workmanship, can increase coating lifespan by up to 60% and significantly reduce defects such as peeling, blistering, and cracking. ABSTRAK (INDONESIA) Pengecatan interior merupakan bagian penting dalam finishing bangunan yang mempengaruhi estetika, daya tahan, dan kualitas lingkungan dalam ruangan. Penelitian ini membahas pekerjaan pengecatan interior berdasarkan Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI), meliputi performa material, persiapan permukaan, teknik aplikasi, dan pengendalian mutu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan standar SNI secara konsisten dapat meningkatkan umur cat hingga 60% dan mengurangi cacat seperti pengelupasan dan retak. INTRODUCTION (ENGLISH) Interior painting serves both functional and aesthetic roles in building construction. Beyond visual appeal, coatings provide protection against moisture, microbial growth, and environmental degradation. In tropical climates like Bali, high humidity and temperature variations pose significant challenges to paint durability. The Indonesian National Standards (SNI) provide guidelines for material selection, surface preparation, and application methods to ensure consistent quality. This paper aims to evaluate the effectiveness of SNI-based interior painting practices. 1. PENDAHULUAN (INDONESIA) Pengecatan interior memiliki fungsi estetika dan protektif terhadap dinding bangunan. Di daerah tropis seperti Bali, kelembaban tinggi menjadi tantangan utama dalam menjaga kualitas cat. 2.
