This paper presents an advanced engineering-based methodology for proper ceiling painting, focusing on surface preparation, coating material selection, application techniques, and long-term performance in tropical climates. The research integrates experimental insights, coating performance models, and field practices to optimize painting quality while minimizing defects such as streaking, peeling, and uneven absorption. The study also evaluates cost efficiency and lifecycle maintenance strategies. Results indicate that proper surface preparation and controlled application techniques can improve coating lifespan by up to 50% and reduce repainting costs significantly. The paper provides practical recommendations for construction projects, especially in humid and high-temperature environments such as Bali. ABSTRAK (VERSI INDONESIA) Pengecatan plafon merupakan pekerjaan finishing penting dalam konstruksi bangunan yang mempengaruhi estetika, ketahanan, dan kualitas lingkungan dalam ruangan. Penelitian ini membahas metode teknik pengecatan plafon yang benar dengan fokus pada persiapan permukaan, pemilihan material cat, teknik aplikasi, serta performa jangka panjang di iklim tropis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persiapan permukaan yang baik dan teknik aplikasi yang tepat dapat meningkatkan umur cat hingga 50% serta mengurangi biaya perawatan ulang secara signifikan. 1.
